BOARD OF SELECTMEN’S MEETING
MAY 3, 2012
Chairman Joseph Story opened the meeting at 1:00 p.m. and continued it for a half hour to accommodate the arrival of Selectmen Bulgaris from an outside meeting. At 1:30 p.m. the meeting was reopened. In attendance were Selectmen Story, Bulgaris, Walker and Town Administrator Tracy Blais.
Blais advised that at a meeting of the IAC (Insurance Advisory Committee) held Tuesday, it was voted unanimously to move to a plan design change within M.I.I.A. for our health insurance which will increase co-pays and add a deductible but is a savings of $40+K. The change in plan (from HMO Blue to Network Blue New England) was approved by the IAC with the caveat that it will be for a three year commitment and the 75/25 split would be retained. Blais recommended this change in plan. It was moved by Selectman Walker, seconded by Selectman Bulgaris and voted unanimously to accept the Town Administrator’s recommendation for a health plan design change.
A request from the Beachcoma for permission to have entertainment at the restaurant on Saturday, May 5th from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. in celebration of Cinco de Mayo was approved on a motion by Selectman Walker, seconded Selectman Bulgaris and voted unanimously with the stipulation that it is contained inside and the noise is kept to a minimum to accommodate the neighbors.
The meeting was adjourned at 1:45 p.m. on a motion by Selectman Walker, seconded by Selectman Bulgaris and voted unanimously
Respectfully submitted,
Kathleen Sirois, Administrative Assistant
